Austrian Wine
Austrian Wine supports and coordinates the efforts of the Austrian wine industry to maintain quality and sales through marketing activities.
Its strategy is aimed at creating a balanced marketing mix suited to local markets. Its activities include creating showcase events for the wines of Austria globally and arranging the biannual VieVinum international wine festival in Austria.
Austrian Wine has supported the IMW since 2004 and sponsors an award which is presented annually to a Master of Wine who has performed outstandingly in all areas of the MW exam. The organisation generously hosts the first-year European education seminar each January at the Wein Akademie in Rust, Austria. In addition to this, it provides speakers for a number of education seminars annually and provides resources for the IMW at trade events around the globe.
