Sam consults to Spanish wineries - Bodegas Fontana and Bideona; Casas del Bosque in Casablanca, Chile; and Japanese wine group Mercian, where he guides them on a bold new global winemaking initiative. In addition, he consults to Canadian wine yeast and bacteria producer Lallemand, on wine industry R&D and communication strategies.
Sam also makes his own wine and focuses on single vineyard Chardonnay and Syrah grown and produced on Waiheke Island and Hawkes Bay.
He is also a co-owner of Peninsula Vinicultores, a dynamic Madrid-based wine marketing business founded on authenticity, sustainability and competitiveness. Sam’s unique blend of technical expertise, commercial insight and commitment to preserving wine diversity defines his holistic approach to the wine business.
