Initially trained as an actress and classical singer, appearing on stage, television, radio and concert hall. Entered the wine trade "by accident" in 1973 with IDV at Harlow, ending as Training Manager in wines and spirits for the Home Trade. Late 1981 until 1983 buyer and manager for Malmaison Wine Club. 1983-1986 wine club manager for Balls Brothers and then Arthur Rackham. 1986 until present Wine Consultant, lecturer and writer.
