Nick moved to Italy in 1996 and soon got into wine while working in Puglia. There he cut his teeth on all things relating to the Italian wine sector, including the complexities of the different DOC/Gs, the myriad of Italian wine producers, and the challenges of exporting Italian wine around the world. 

In 2003 he briefly worked for a national importer as an Italian wine specialist before joining up with Nicolas Belfrage MW in 2006 at Vinexus, the Italian specialist. At Vinexus, Nick continued to market Italian wine in many export markets worldwide with some of the world’s most prominent distributors and Italy’s finest producers. 

As a dual British and Italian National, Nick spent his time between Italy and the UK. He had been ill for a short while, which he kept private.
