From 1983 to 1993 Gabrielle worked for leading London Wine Merchant, Corney & Barrow, beginning as Buying Assistant and rising to Buying Director. This was followed by a stint as a wine consultant, radio broadcaster (LBC), wine guide (Arblaster & Clarke) and contributing editor to the Bordeaux Encyclopaedia of Chateaux published in 1997. In 1998 Gaby spent a year in Japan teaching wine courses. She now lives in Bordeaux where she sells wine, teaches at the CIVB Wine School and works as a wine guide.
