Romana Echensperger MW releases new book on biodynamic wines

Romana Echensperger MW has released a new book on biodynamic wines entitled About the freedom to make the right wine. Romana spent a year on the road exploring the biodynamic wine scene in German-speaking countries and learning how biodynamics is practices and understood today.
In her book she portrays 12 top winemakers, including Olivier Humbrecht MW, who use different approaches to biodynamic farming and whose wines have achieved internationally top ratings. Romana questions the source and the principles behind biodynamics, the importance of developing sustainable strategies in viticulture, especially for top wines and what can be achieved with this method in today’s challenges.
In addition, she explains the historical background and welcomes scientists from the Geisenheim University, who research the topic, to have their say.
The book is not intended to represent an opposition to conventional methods, but rather to broaden the perspective.
