Robert Cottin, Dubos Negociants, Bordeaux
Robert was raised in Pauillac and graduated business school in 1980 where he specialised in finance. His career started at the most respected merchant bank in Paris that year. In May 1982, he decided to buy a boutique negociant to develop the growing US market. After this experience, in 1988, Robert joined the famous historical negociant: DUBOS. Later in 1996, his family and himself purchased the company, expanding the collection to include their shop; La Vinothèque de Bordeaux.

Anthony Maxwell – Director/Head of Sales, Livex
Anthony Maxwell was born in South Africa and brought up in France before moving to the UK aged 12. After leaving university, he worked for the Foreign Office in Geneva and the International Federation of Wines and Spirits in Paris. He then worked for John Armit Wines for eight years, running their trading department and private client sales department before joining Liv-ex in 2005.

Basile Tesseron – Chateau Lafon Rochet, Saint Estephe
Born and raised in Bordeaux. Basile’s mother is from a family of Aperitif makers and grandfather, Pierre Lillet, taught him how to taste and his love for nature. Growing up he spent his weekends with his father in the cellar and with the vines, until he decided he wanted to be a winemaker. His career path saw him starting out as salesman in a New York wine shop, courtier in France, studying at Business School in Bordeaux, Kassel and Edinburgh and a year in London at the luxury brand Richemond. It was from these experiences that he decided to transition to winemaking and he travelled to Argentina to work at Fabre Montmayou. He then spent three years working with, and being mentored, by Jean-François Moueix and Dominique Renard from the negociant Duclot. Basile is now happily married to Bérrangère, who happened to be his neighbour in the Medoc at Chateau Larrivaux. Basile Is currently leading Lafon Rochet with a fantastic team.
